CSi Timeline

1985   Sydney-based CSi founded under the name of Classified Salary Information Services. Its goal being to produce industry specific salaries and benefits surveys
 
   Agricultural Industry Salaries & Benefits Survey - CSi's first salary survey was launched
 
1986   Transport, Shipping & Logistics Industries Salaries & Benefits Survey was launched
 
   Medical & Scientific Equipment Industries Salaries & Benefits Survey was launched
 
1987  Australian IT/Computer Specialists Salaries & Benefits Survey was launched
 
   Banking & Finance Salaries & Benefits Survey was launched
 
1988   AIIA Survey of Salaries & Remuneration Packaging was launched
 
1990  Defence Systems Industry Salaries & Benefits Survey was launched
 
   CSi commenced production of the Information Technology Industry Survey (ITIS) on behalf of a small group of leading New Zealand IT vendor organisations
 
1991  Telecommunications Industries Salaries & Benefits Surveys was launched
 
   New Zealand IT & Telecommunications Industries Salaries & Benefits Surveys was launched
 
 
1994  Business Equipment Industry Salaries & Benefits Survey was launched
 
   Contractor Rates Survey was launched
 
1996  Australian Top Executive Remuneration Report was launched
 
   CSi commenced production of the Australian Computer Industry Remuneration Report on behalf of a small group of leading IT vendor organisations
 
   CSi developed and introduced SmartDisk, an electronic data capture software, to replace hard copy data entry for clients
 
1998   CSi developed and introduced the e-Tables software program to enable contributors to purchase survey information in "soft copy" format and in a presentation style customised to their individual organisation
 
   Australian General Industry Remuneration Report was launched
 
   Life Insurance & Superannuation Salaries & Benefits Report was launched
 
   Website presence established at www.classalinfo.com.au
 
  New Zealand IT/Computer Specialists Salaries & Benefits Survey was launched
 
1999  CSi introduced a methodology for valuing shares in the Australian Top Executive Remuneration Report
 
 
2000  CSi's remuneration consulting division was established, responding largely to inbound calls
 
   General Insurance Industry Salaries & Benefits Survey (GIRG) was launched
 
   CSi developed and introduced soft copy surveys via Adobe Acrobat files
 
2001  ACEA Consulting Engineering Industry Salaries & Benefits Survey was launched
 
   CSi's database contained over 100,000 individual lines of employee's salaries and benefits data generated from 19 CSi surveys
 
2002  CSi developed and introduced S.I.T. (Salary Increase Tool), a piece of software designed to assist with salary review
 
2003  CSi developed and introduced Surveys Online, providing clients with access to survey data via https://www.csirem.com.au/webrem/webrem
 
   CSi developed and introduced RapidRem (CSi's leading edge data collection program)
 
   CSi's Training Services Division was launched
 
   CSi opened and established a Melbourne Office in response to client demand
 
   Biotech Industry Salaries & Benefits Survey was launched
 
   Non-Government Organisations (NGO) Remuneration Report for the not-for-profit sector was launched
 
2004  CSi made further developments to the S.I.T. (Salary Increase Tool) software to enhance its functionality and streamline/automate all operational aspects of the salary review. The software was renamed and launched as RemSys - Salary Review & Management Tool
 
   CSi's online Data Centre which provides survey subscribers with the facility to view/download data in a variety of report formats was launched
 
   CSi developed an informal alliance with Watson Wyatt, one of the world's leading HR consultancy firms to bring clients international market data and Watson Wyatt's global grading system
 
2005  CSi officially changed its name to CSi - The Remuneration Specialists Pty Limited. Having built up a strong remuneration consulting and training business this name was considered more reflective of the full array of products and services available to clients
 
   Peter Barton became Non Executive Chairperson, Jairus Ashworth appointed to the position of Managing Director and Kylee Small appointed to Executive Director
 
   CSi celebrated its 20th company anniversary
 
   CSi's new website located at www.csirem.com.au was launched
 
2006  CSi formalised its strategic alliance with Watson Wyatt, consolidating the 2004 informal alliance
 
   CSi opened and established a New Zealand office, located in Auckland, in response to client demand
 
   CSi's New Zealand web address www.csirem.co.nz was launched
 
   SAP Specialists Salaries & Benefits Survey was launched
 
   Australasian Rail Industry Remuneration Report was launched
 
   Australian Media Industry Remuneration Report was launched
 
   New Zealand Executive Remuneration Report was launched
 
2007  CSi formed an alliance with Pivot Software Limited, a New Zealand based firm, to become the sole reseller of their Remuneration Decision Assistant (RDA) in Australia and Auckland, NZ. RDA is a comprehensive online salary review software solution
 
   CSi developed J|E Hub, a job evaluation solution that provides accurate assessments of the relative job sizes of roles within an organisation. As job size represents the value or importance of a role to a business, job evaluations from J|E Hub can form the basis for fair, transparent and defensible people management decisions
