The Ten J|E Hub Evaluation Factors

Roles are evaluated within J|E Hub using the following ten evaluation factors:

Experience 13% Directly relevant job experience which contributes to the breadth of work input ('horizontal' knowledge measure)
Knowledge 9% Knowledge depth obtained primarily through formal education ('vertical' knowledge measure)
Integration 10% Integration of ideas and processes required for effective decisions. Often linked to the complexity or scope of the role and the degree of flexibility in thinking required ('horizontal' thinking measure)
Analysis 8% Depth of thinking ability. Measures the fact finding, interpretation, investigation, research and analysis required ('vertical' thinking measure)
Peer Contact 5% Interpersonal skills required for working with colleagues within and between units (sections, departments, etc) ('horizontal' measure)
External Contact 6% Interpersonal dealings with contacts outside the organisation. Is separate from the 'horizontal' and 'vertical' dimensions' of the Interact grouping
Leadership 9% Interpersonal leadership requirements ('vertical' measure). Level of engagement with staff at various levels of organisation. 'Qualitative' aspect of impact on people
People Impact 10% Number of people reporting including direct and indirect reports on a 'full-time equivalent' basis ('Quantitative' aspect of supervision)
Financial Impact (revenue)

14% Level of monetary impact using best available revenue measure (revenue, sales, etc.). Role is typically involved with management of business profit or product sales (e.g. management, fundraising, sales, or marketing)
Financial Impact (cost) 14% Cost impact due to errors in terms of monetary expense, diminished operational efficiency or reduced employee productivity
Time Impact 16% Length of time a decision made impacts on organisational outcomes. Is often reflected in the autonomy/independence of the role
