Responsible for
Providing technical leadership and supervision of fund accounting activities. |

Reports To
Manager - Fund Accounting. |

Supervises
A team of Portfolio Accountants. |
| |
Main Activities
Supervising fund accounting activities to ensure reliability and accuracy of accounting systems.
Assisting in the development of regular and ad-hoc reports for internal clients.
Maintaining general ledger and asset value/unit price accounts.
Assisting in the establishment of investment accounting strategies.
Ensuring that fund accounting division meets month end and statutory accounting requirements.
Assisting in the development of contingency and business resumption plans for investment accounting.
Acting as an escalation point for more complex fund accounting issues.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong numeric skills.
Proficient in statistical/spreadsheet software packages.
Solid background in investment accounting.

Typical Experience
At least 3-5 years experience in fund accounting, coupled with tertiary qualifications in finance/accounting. Usually has ACA/CPA qualification. May have SIA qualification. |
