Responsible for
Ensuring that Learning & Development initiatives support and reinforce a progressive organisational culture within all staff levels of the organisation. |

Human Resources Director. |

Supervises
Learning & Development Officers. |

Main Activities
Working closely with business managers and other Human Resources staff to continually analyse, prioritise and respond proactively to organisational training needs in order to build new capabilities in management and general staff.
Developing and recommending the organisational training policy in terms of budgeting restrictions, future staffing requirements, industry needs and succession plans.
Ensuring optimum development solutions are created and then delivered either internally or through a select group of high calibre training providers.
Liaising with external providers, evaluating the applicability of external courses and identifying relevant employees.
Leading and developing the Learning & Development team to deliver business relevant training across systems, processes and general business and management skills.
Managing the Learning & Development budget for internal training and ensuring overall profitability of the Learning & Development function.
Overseeing the scheduling of classes and facilities.

Knowledge of adult learning principles and the ability to design, deliver and evaluate training.
Experience in leading and building team capability.

Typical Experience
8-10 years of experience with relevant supervisory and training experience, coupled with a tertiary qualification. Typically will have undertaken some formal management and development training. |
