Responsible for
Providing technical support and guidance in the cultivation and protection of crops grown on company farms. Preparing reports to Farm and Divisional Management. |

Reports To
Senior Operational Manager. |
| |
Supervises
Company Agronomists on one or a number of farms. |
| |
Main Activities
Advising Farm Management on the most appropriate varieties to sow, the most effective soil preparation and fertilisation treatments and other measures necessary to prevent infestation.
Gathering information on research and field trials relevant to the most effective production. Keeping abreast of all new technology.
Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers of proprietary chemicals and crop treatment products.
Providing Farm and Divisional Management with regular reports.

Typical Experience
Will have at least 8 - 10 years experience with tertiary qualifications in Agricultural Science, specialising in Agronomy / Crop Protection. May have Ag-Safe accreditation. |
