Responsible for
Aligning the company's web presence with its business strategy. Primarily involved in designing, building and/or maintaining the web site and associated software and hardware systems. |

Reports To
General Manager - IT Services/Infrastructure, Project Director/Program Manager. |

Supervises
Web Graphic Designer, Author, Programmer, Architect. |

Main Activities
Gathering with department heads/clients to determine the type of information to be made available on the web site, and how the web site fits into the overall corporate strategy.
Creating proposal documents and Electronic Proof of Concepts to win over clients, be they internal or external.
Evaluating the target market of the web site.
Promoting the site to internal and external customers via presentation.
Conducting marketing activities such as competitor analysis.
Investigating new web products and technologies, and making appropriate hardware/software decisions.
Monitoring and addressing various technical issues relating to security, continuity of operations and data integrity.

Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Strong technical background with a history of successful installations in relevant technologies.
Knowledge of marketing fundamentals.

Typical Experience
2 years of recent experience in all aspects of web site development. Total experience may be greater (8 - 10 years or more), including 2 years in Project Leadership or Management. Tertiary qualifications. |
