Responsible for
Carrying out purchasing activity of a complex nature, either alone or under supervision of a Senior Buyer.
 
Reports To
Procurement Manager - Sourcing/Fulfilment.
 
Supervises
No supervisory responsibilities.
 
Main Activities
  • Procuring goods and services, developing proposal and/or negotiating contracts of moderate risk and complexity consistent with customer requirements.
  • Interfacing with Suppliers on issues that affect Supplier Operations and the Company's strategic supply issues.
  • Communicating/negotiating with Supplier and customer counterparts and management.
  • Monitoring the industry to maintain an awareness of current practices.
  • Managing Suppliers, business partners and customer relationships.
  • Preparing presentations and technical reports for project documentation, management reports and worldwide distribution.
  • Performing moderate to high-risk Supplier evaluations and selections of a complex nature.
  • Working on high-risk contracts under the direction of more senior Representatives.
  • Analysing market conditions and variables to recommend and implement sourcing strategies.
  • Monitoring the performance of multiple Suppliers and taking corrective action to ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.

    Typical Experience
