Responsible for
Providing telephone service on voice switch (main switch and local branch offices) to assist callers to establish telephone connections or to receive customer inquiries. |

Reports To
Administration Manager. |

Supervises
No supervisory responsibilities. |
| |
Main Activities
Operating switchboards to process all incoming and outgoing calls within a pre-determined time; obtaining and processing return calls.
Ensuring that PABX services are available daily during standard business hours.
Investigating operating system problems and informing maintenance services when necessary.
Alerting emergency services when required.
Monitoring (if required) the efficiency of systems and maintaining service sampling records.
Assisting the Switchboard Supervisor by keeping telephone directories maintained, maintaining telephone accounts, distributing reports etc.
