Responsible for
Selling products and services to emerging Carriers, Resellers and Internet Service Providers.
 
Reports To
Director - Carrier & Wholesale Markets.
 
Supervises
Wholesale Markets Account Managers.
 
Main Activities
  • Achieving defined annual revenue targets and managing and leading sales productivity together with the Management team.
  • Creating and maintaining sound business relationships with customers.
  • Implementing a sales plan to address the opportunities of emerging Carriers, Resellers and ISPs and reporting key emerging Carriers, Resellers and ISP opportunities to local sales management.
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate policies.
  • Ensuring lowest implementation, billing, network, back-office and other costs to support the Reseller, emerging Carrier and ISP revenues and ensuring emerging Carriers, ISPs and Resellers meet contractual obligations.
  • Ensuring all Carrier, ISP and Reseller business opportunities are covered by signed agreements.
  • Developing IP solutions to address ISP sales opportunities through local product development and sales engineering.

    Key Skills
  • Ability to identify, evaluate and recommend sound business opportunities, coupled with business development experience.
  • Knowledge of local, regional and global Telecommunications markets relating to ISPs, Resellers and emerging Carriers.
  • Proven sales performance and leadership skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills including the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to intermediate and executive Management.

    Service Providers, emerging Carriers, Distributors and Internet Service Providers.
     
    Typical Experience
    At least 10 years experience in sales, coupled with relevant telecommunications and channel management experience. Business development skills and experience and knowledge of local ISP and Reseller markets, in addition to Tertiary qualifications are also required.
