Responsible for
Selling products and services to existing and potential Resellers, emerging Carriers and ISP's. Marketing, managing and maintaining strong relationships with customers by implementing and managing sales strategies to meet revenue objectives.
 
Reports To
Manager, Wholesale Markets.
 
Supervises
No supervisory responsibilities.
 
Main Activities
  • Achieving defined annual revenue targets.
  • Identifying and prioritising new prospects to expand Reseller and ISP base.
  • Selling products and services to Resellers and ISPs at approved rate levels and providing reports to Resellers and ISPs on a regular basis.
  • Creating and maintaining sound business relationships with Resellers and ISPs and ensuring the timely and accurate billing of Reseller customers and ISPs.
  • Identifying new wholesale opportunities nationally including Call Shops, Calling Card providers, Fax Service providers, Internet voice providers and other large dedicated access opportunities.
  • Retaining and growing existing wholesale customers and managing the Accounts.
  • Identifying new Telehouse/Facilities Management Opportunities for switch sites and managing existing Telehousing customers and contract arrangements.
  • Forecasting Wholesale traffic volumes and revenue on a monthly basis.
  • Developing Wholesale pricing based on set-margins.
  • Assisting with the development of rates/prices for Carrier customers.

  • Ability to present Telecommunications solutions to customers.
  • Knowledge of local Telecommunications markets relating to Resellers and ISPs.
  • Well developed sales and Account Management skills.
  • Ability to build and develop strong business relationships.
  • Proven sales experience in Telecommunications or related field.
  • Ability to create pricing models based on pre-set financial requirements.

    Typical Experience
    2+ years relevant Telecommunications experience, including channel management, business development and familiarisation with IP transport/network and products and services coupled with a Bachelor degree or equivalent tertiary qualification is desirable.
