Responsible for
Designing and controlling the strategy around the receipt, warehousing, transportation and distribution of the company's product range. |

General Manager. |

Supervises
Logistics Managers, Officers and Warehouse & Distribution staff. |

Main Activities
Formulating and ensuring adherence to a national warehousing & distribution operation strategy to ensure the efficient and cost effective supply of equipment.
Ensuring the security of stock and assets.
Analysing procedures and implementing methods which optimise handling, storage and transport resources.
Negotiating cartage contracts.
Preparing, updating and regularly reporting on the performance of National Logistics budgets.
Recruiting and training Logistics staff.

Strong analytical and organisational skills backed with formal training in logistics.
Proven abilities in cost centre management, negotiation and industrial relations.
Proven management skills.
