Responsible for
Managing and integrating all the manufacturing processes to achieve production objectives on time and within budget while complying with quality standards. |

Reports To
Manufacturing Director. |

Supervises
Production/Industrial Engineers. |

Main Activities
Ensuring adherence to manufacturing standards.
Managing the design, building and testing of equipment for the manufacturing of new products.
Managing the installation of all capital equipment. Monitoring the industry for new manufacturing processes and equipment.
Determining policies for receipt and dispatch of goods and materials, production, maintenance and staff utilisation.
Assisting in preparation of an annual production plan and an annual capital expenditure budget for submission to the Senior Manager for manufacturing/equipment needs.
Negotiating the supply of equipment, where necessary.

Ability to keep abreast of developments in the field and anticipate trends within the industry.

Typical Experience
At least 10 - 12 years of experience in a Manufacturing Management role in Quality Assurance Engineering and/or Materials Management. Experience in medium to long term planning, with training on new processes or equivalent. Tertiary qualifications. |
