Responsible for
Designing, building and testing prototypes of new products. |

Senior Engineer - Fibre Optic Components (R & D). |

No supervisory responsibilities. |

Main Activities
Developing new fibre optic components for use in DWDM (Digital Wave Division Multiplexing) systems.
Developing processes and equipment for the manufacture of optical devices.
Devising research methods and set up laboratory test equipment, design and instrumentation.
Conducting feasibility studies and developing theoretical models within which assignments are conducted and prototype designs are tested.

Key Skills
Complex knowledge of Fibre Optic Components or systems modelling.
In-depth knowledge of a dynamic manufacturing environment and manufacturing processes.
Project planning and specification skills coupled with problem solving and analysis ability
Systematic approach to planning and testing.
Excellent interpersonal and consultative skills.
