Responsible for
Providing technical support to the production team/process to ensure that Fibre Optic Component manufacturing equipment and processes are maintained at an optimum level. |

Reports To
Senior Engineer - Fibre Optic Components (Technical Support). |

Supervises
No supervisory responsibilities. |
| |
Main Activities
Employing technical knowledge to maintain and enhance Fibre Optic Component manufacturing equipment and processes - this may involve implementation, alignment and trouble-shooting.
Developing maintenance schedules to ensure that all equipment and processes are efficient and cost effective.
Training production staff to utilise equipment and processes efficiently and effectively.
Initiating and leading projects designed to improve and streamline equipment and processes.
Developing and implementing standard operating procedures.
Contributing technical knowledge to research & development projects, process improvement projects and new equipment/process implementation.
