Responsible for
Providing commercial, analytical and strategic planning support to the business in delivering performance and/or growth strategies.
 
Reports To
Director of Finance.
 
Supervises
Commercial Analyst.
 
Main Activities
  • Implementing and maintaining effective reporting of operational metrics to support measurement of employee KPI's.
  • Providing commercial and analytical support for the business and the business' investments through modelling, building business cases and financial due diligence.
  • Maintaining and continually re-evaluating the company investment framework. Critically evaluating all investment projects ensuring that all modelling and forecast assumptions are robust and all investments are accretive to shareholder value.
  • Coordinating the strategic planning and capital budgeting process.

  • Excellent written, numerative and verbal skills to communicate with relevant internal and external parties, including senior management and customers.
  • Ability to analyse, evaluate and be creative in solving complex problems including conflict, priorities and resourcing.
  • Strong capital budgeting & evaluation experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to influence change throughout an organisation.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team.

    Other parties involved in contract negotiation - lawyers, etc.
     
    Typical Experience
    5 - 10 years experience in senior finance roles with a significant commercial and planning focus, coupled with relevant tertiary degree and CPA/ CA qualified. May also have MBA.
