Responsible for
Assisting the business by providing legal expertise towards commercial decision making and ensuring that all operations of the organisation are compliant with relevant legislation and mitigate risk. |

General Counsel, Legal Counsel. |

No supervisory responsibilities. |
| |
Main Activities
Providing advice on legal and regulatory issues, playing an integral role in the ongoing success of the organisation.
Reviewing and negotiating contracts drafted by parties dealing with the organisation.
Negotiating and drafting new forms of contract and changes to standard form contracts used by the organisation.
Analysing the organisation's legal and corporate risk, and offering alternatives and recommendations as required.
Monitoring changes and developments in the legal and regulatory environment affecting the organisation and ensuring that relevant departments within the organisation are informed of new or proposed legislation and policy.
Assisting in the implementation and maintenance of legal systems.
