Responsible for
Aligning the company's web presence with its business strategy. Primarily involved in designing, building and/or maintaining the website and associated software and hardware systems. |

Reports To
Chief Executive Officer, Professional Services Manager, Technical Support Manager, MIS Manager. |

Supervises
Multimedia/Web Graphic Designer, Programmer, Architect, Content Author. |

Main Activities
Determining the type of information to be made available on the website and how the website fits into the overall corporate strategy.
Creating proposal documents and electronic proof of concepts for clients, internal or external.
Evaluating the target market of the website and how it could best serve them.
Promoting the website to internal and external customers via presentation.
Conducting marketing activities such as competitor analysis.
Investigating new web products and technologies and making appropriate hardware/software decisions.
Monitoring and addressing various technical issues relating to security, continuity of operations and data integrity.

Key Skills
Strong project management skills, with the ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Strong technical background, with a history of successful installations in relevant technologies.
Knowledge of marketing fundamentals.

Typical Experience
2 years of recent experience in all aspects of website development. Total experience may be greater (at least 8 - 10 years), including 2 years in project leadership or management. Tertiary qualifications. |
