Responsible for
Developing and managing the strategic direction and operational effectiveness of Information Technology to support and achieve the objectives of the organisation. Site size is 501 - 5000 screens. |

Reports To
Depending on organisational structure, may report directly to CEO or to a member of the Executive team. |

Supervises
All IT Specialists within organisation. Direct reports will typically be Senior Managers - Applications, IT Services/Infrastructure, Security, Architectural Services. |

Main Activities
Participating in major corporate long and medium term decisions and strategies, particularly where IT has a major influence on the competitive advantage and profitability of the organisation.
Setting and controlling IT operational and development expenditures within budget.
Guiding the forecasting and planning of equipment and software purchases in relation to projected user requirements.
Establishing and maintaining standards in relation to enterprise infrastructure, applications and security.
Participating in policy-making as a member of a Senior Management team.
Positioning the company technologically ahead of competitors, particularly focusing on current and anticipated requirements.
