Responsible for
Providing both strategic and operational leadership for either several marketing functions (including: Fundraising/Bequests, Direct Marketing, Events, Community/Public Relations), or the entire Marketing function.
 
Reports To
Chief Executive/Managing Director.
 
Supervises
Employees across the specified marketing functions including Managers, Specialists, and Support staff.
 
Main Activities
  • Formulating marketing policies and strategies in line with corporate business plan.
  • Developing plans to achieve revenue/funding projections for the marketing function.
  • Implementing and monitoring the progress of marketing plans and campaigns on a national basis.
  • Preparing and updating national budgets, regularly reporting on performance against target, and providing variance analyses and revised projections.
  • Identifying, pursuing and developing new sources of support by continually gathering market research and market intelligence.
  • Building partnerships with appropriate external organisations.
  • Acting as an effective member of the Senior Management Team.
  • Managing the performance and personal development of all employees across the marketing function.

  • Ability to interpret and maximise the use of sophisticated budget and market research data.

    Typical Experience
    At least 12 years of marketing and product management experience coupled with relevant tertiary qualifications.
