Responsible for
Coordinating the Occupational Health & Safety function by identifying and removing all situations likely to cause accidents to staff and damage to the organisation's property, thereby improving efficiency. |

Reports To
Occupational Health & Safety Manager, Operations Manager or Human Resources Manager. |
| |
Supervises
No supervisory responsibilities. |
| |
Main Activities
Providing a technical and training service in respect of Occupational Health & Safety procedures, standards and safe working practices.
Monitoring and reporting on unsafe situations and assisting in the implementation of improvements.
Preparing safety statistics and liaising with external Safety Organisations.
Providing advice on safety issues at organised work meetings.
Investigating accidents/injuries and preparing evidence for use in hearings, lawsuits and insurance investigations.
Administering the Workers’ Compensation program and implementing process improvements.

In depth knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety and Workers Compensation legislation as it apples throughout the organisation.
