Responsible for
Planning and managing the Direct Marketing function of the organisation with the objective of achieving profitability/funding and budgeted targets.
 
Reports To
Manager - Fundraising/Bequests or General Manager - Marketing.
 
Supervises
Telemarketing Supervisors and Telemarketers (typically casual employees).
 
Main Activities
  • Implementing and project managing direct marketing campaigns, including both mail-outs and telemarketing activities.
  • Preparing telemarketing scripts and motivating telemarketers to achieve strong results from specific direct marketing campaigns.
  • Developing, implementing and managing both regular and campaign specific direct mail appeals for donations.
  • Ensuring direct marketing campaigns represent a cost effective acquisition program to 'grow' the donor database.
  • Preparing regular reports to management on the performance of direct marketing campaigns against budget.
  • Managing the maintenance of the donor database to ensure accurate updates and deletions are performed as required.
  • Managing temporary staffing issues for any telemarketing campaigns.
  • Assisting with special events as required.

    Typical Experience
    At least 5 years experience in Sales/Marketing or fundraising coupled with Direct Marketing qualifications (e.g. - ADMA).
