Responsible for
Leading a team of Telesales Representatives to generate sales leads and sell a range of products/services through telephone contact to achieve a predetermined revenue target or sales quota.
 
Reports To
Telesales Manager, Sales Manager, Coordinator (Revenue Accountability).
 
Supervises
A team of Telesales Representatives.
 
Main Activities
  • Leading a Telesales team and personally participating in selling products/services over the telephone by making telephone calls to existing and new customers and answering inbound enquiries.
  • Planning, implementing, monitoring and reporting on the success of Telesales campaigns within the Telesales team.
  • Ensuring the level of product/service knowledge within the team is at an optimum level to facilitate greater sales volume.
  • Overseeing the dispatch of goods/services and information to existing and prospective clients to ensure that the Telesales team delivers the agreed requirements.
  • Ensuring the Telesales team regularly updates and augments the existing and prospective client database.
  • Producing reports for Management on competitor activity by collecting market intelligence from the Telesales team and customer contacts during sales calls.
  • Analysing the number of calls required to close sales for the purposes of optimising every call made by the Telesales team.
  • Finding solutions for clients escalated by Telesales Representatives within the Telesales team.

    Typical Experience
    2+ years sales experience, coupled with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
